Nadja Asghar is a visual artist with a bachelors degree in illustration. She has worked and lived Stavanger since 2020.

Nadja Asghar comes from a mixed race background with an Iranian father born in Kenya, who settled in the UK at age 10. Her mother is Norwegian. Asghar is born in Norway but the family moved to Doha, Qatar when she was age 4 where she attended a British school and eventually moved back to Bergen, Norway, age 17. She is currently residing in Stavanger.

Asghar works explore the dysphoria and chaos in the human condition. The grotesque, the beautiful, the interesting and the ugly that comes with being human. Her work is mainly mixed media, painting and pen/markers with an intention to combine embroidery in upcoming works.
